How to get there

brooklynONE productions presents a one-night-only staged reading of The Sad Truth About Country Songs, a Southern Gothic drama by Stephen Gracia, directed by Michael LoPorto, starring Ashlie Atkinson and Dan Jameson.

After escaping custody, Amos Bartow returns home to see his dying mother one last time. Over a final night together, they confront family, faith, addiction, and regret—with their shared love of country music expressing what words alone cannot.

Featuring a live band performing original music, this intimate play with songs explores forgiveness and the complicated bonds between parents and children.
